Following the outbreak of the Coronavirus, there will no longer be cover for cancellation, abandonment or curtailment claims if the Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advises you not to travel, for example where the FCO advises against all but essential travel to an area affected by Coronavirus, COVID-19, Severe Acute Respiratory Syndrome (SARS-COV-2) or any mutation of Coronavirus, COVID-19 or SARs-COV-2.

Different restrictions are in place across the country due to the coronavirus pandemic. You will not be covered by your travel insurance if you travel against the rules of the restrictions where you live or if you travel against the advice of the Foreign, Commonwealth and Development Office, at the time your trip starts, to a country that is not on the Government's travel corridor list.

This does not affect emigration policies.

Please complete this form to obtain your Working Holiday travel insurance quote.

Please note that you will need to select an appropriate 'Working Pack' and 'Activity Pack' for your upcoming trip at the next stage of the quote process.

Residency Requirement

We are only able to offer cover to travellers who are resident and actually within the UK or Channel Islands. We also require travellers to be registered with a UK GP and not have spent more than 6 months out of the UK in the previous 12 months. We can only offer cover for trips starting in the UK which have yet to commence. Please get in touch if you have any queries regarding this. If you don't meet this residency requirement or you have already left the UK then please visit World Nomads who may be able to offer appropriate cover.

Pre-Existing Medical Conditions

Your policies may not cover claims arising from your pre-existing medical conditions so you need to tell us of anything you know that is likely to affect our acceptance of your cover. Please click here to find out more about our coverage of pre-existing medical conditions.

If your health or your ongoing medication changes between the date the policies were bought and the date of travel you must advise us on 0203 829 6656 as soon as possible.

Intention to Return

In the event of a claim, our underwriters may ask you for confirmation of your intention to return to the UK. Ideally this should be a return flight or the expiry of a visa which confirms that you intend to return to the UK by the end date of your cover. Click here for details about being able to prove your intention to return to the UK along with acceptable forms of proof. This does not apply if you are purchasing a one way (emigration) policy.
