Competition Closed! A fantastic Easter prize by going on an Easter egg hunt on our new website

Entries are now closed and we’ve randomly picked the winners. Congratulations to the 4 winners in our  Hunt the Easter Egg competition! We were thrilled with the incredible amount of people who took the time to visit our new website and have a look around, on their mission of winning Easter chocolate goodies. All of the people who gave the correct answer were given a number, and random numbers were generated to find our winners.

To enter the competition, find your two word answer and then enter here.  The deadline for entries to be received is midnight on Wednesday 23^rd April. You are allowed one entry per person. The winners will be chosen at random by an online number generator on Thursday 24^th April.

Here are some more fun Easter egg facts:

–         An amazing 90 million chocolate eggs are sold in the UK each year.  Easter eggs are linked to the end of the 40-day fasting period of Lent.
–         Each child in the UK receives an average of 8.8 Easter eggs in a year –but what about the adults?!
–         Easter sales of chocolate account for 10% of UK chocolate spending for the whole year – unsurprising really, as they appear in the supermarket aisles just after Christmas!
–         The UK’s first chocolate egg was produced in 1873 by Fry’s of Bristol.
–         The tallest chocolate Easter egg was made in Italy in 2011.  It was 10.39 metres high and weighed 7, 200kg, making it taller than a giraffe and heavier than an elephant!

–         43% of children get to eat their first chocolate egg of the day before Easter Sunday, but the time most tuck into their first egg is 11am on Easter Sunday – that’s got to ruin the Sunday roast…
–         Unsurprisingly, 19% of kids say they’ve made themselves ill by eating too much chocolate over the Easter holidays…. the other 81% must be pretty restrained by comparison!
