Our Emigration travel insurance policies offer travellers comprehensive and essential cover for both the one-way journey and up to 31 days after arrival in the destination country while you make more permanent insurance arrangements. Unlike some Emigration policies, our benefits extend beyond arrival or check-in for a chosen period of time. Our insurance provides a useful ‘breathing space’ when settling into your new home. It can also cover you if you will be travelling before you arrive at your final destination, in which case a longer duration can be selected, subject to a maximum of 31 days of coverage after arrival in the destination country.

We are pleased to offer several single-trip travel insurance policies. Typically, these policies cover travellers from when they leave the UK until they return. A single-trip policy can cover a short trip or an extended period away from the UK.

Single-trip travel insurance is the standard policy for people going on a holiday with an outbound and an inbound return to the UK. This is the most suitable choice for you if you are making one or two trips away in a year, with cover starting when you leave the UK and ending when you return. Upon return to the UK, no further trips can be covered under a single trip policy (though some policies do cover a short return trip to the UK).

Ideal for travellers planning an extended journey, the Platinum Single Trip policy includes:

• Cover for travellers up to age 99. (Note: Trip durations are limited to 31 days for ages 86-99 and 10 days for worldwide cover.)
• Zero excess for all claims.
• Cancellation cover of up to £10,000 per person, double the limit of our existing First Class cover.
• Enhanced personal possessions cover up to £3,000 per person, with valuables and gadgets covered up to £1,000.
• Medical cover of up to £10,000,000 per person for ultimate protection.

If you have expensive individual items such as laptops or cameras, check the baggage limits on policies, as there is a cap on the amount you can claim for certain items. Cover is sold per person, so if you are travelling with other family members, they also receive the allowances mentioned in the policy benefits.
